Caregiver/CNA

About This Role

Provide high-quality care to residents with dementia, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring their well-being, and participating in life enrichment programs as a Resident Care Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance or cues to residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, eating, and mobility
• Assist residents in instrumental activities of daily living such as telephone use, housekeeping, and laundry
• Monitor the safety and well-being of residents and their living environment
• Document and record critical data points of resident well-being
• Initiate and participate in life enrichment activities with residents in collaboration with Life Enrichment staff
• Perform light housekeeping and maintenance tasks to maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming home environment
• Complete miscellaneous office and administrative tasks such as monitoring supplies, printing forms, and handling paperwork
• Assist in preparing for and facilitating resident admissions, discharges, and transfers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in assisted living, long term care, or other care environments
• Previous experience working with persons with dementia, older adults, or other populations needing physical or behavioral assistance
• Knowledge regarding the healthcare field
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or desire to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and grow within the healthcare field
