About This Role

Lead cafe operations, managing staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and controlling financial activities to optimize profitability for a specialty coffee company.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational and financial activities to optimize profits
  • Coach, direct, support, and recognize team members through performance feedback
  • Oversee and mentor a staff of 15+ team members
  • Ensure consistent achievement of speed and steps of service at all business levels
  • Work with senior management to identify, develop and evaluate innovative offerings
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and effectively train new employees
  • Manage the performance of all employees, including disciplinary action when necessary
  • Ensure guests and staff are warmly received and welcomed at every opportunity
  • Control operating expenses through timely maintenance of the cafe and equipment
  • Oversee and coordinate planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, preferred in cafe and restaurant management or related field. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of directly related cafe or casual dining restaurant management experience which includes personnel management and operational experience; Minimum of five (5) years in similar general manager level role
