This role involves creating designs and technical drawings for chemical dispense systems and blending equipment using SolidWorks. You will collaborate with engineers to refine manufacturing systems and support assembly operations, ensuring customer specifications are met.
Responsibilities
- Design and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and "red-lined" documents using SolidWorks
- Create and maintain mechanical area layouts
- Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and schematics
- Follow and contribute to mechanical design "Best Practices"
- Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and aid in mechanical components recommendations
- Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process documentation
- Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues as needed
- Work with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications and aid in design reviews
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries
- Associate’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Ability to understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
- Familiarity with design intent and Design for X in an assembly work environment
- Strong ability to read and create/edit P&IDs, schematics, and other product documentation
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field
- 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries
Nice to Have
- Semiconductor equipment experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D)
- Experience with Agile/PLM systems
