Business Systems Analyst II / Programming and Automation Specialist

About This Role

This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, then designing, developing, and implementing cost-effective technology solutions to support business strategies and daily operations. The specialist will partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand business processes to identify system requirements and improvement opportunities
• Design and implement cost-effective business system solutions aligned with organizational goals
• Participate in programming, product development, and support for new and existing applications, systems, and interfaces
• Lead and contribute to IT projects across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Research, evaluate, and recommend technical solutions based on system capabilities, technology availability, and desired outcomes
• Prepare proposals, documentation, and recommendations for management and end users
• Provide backup support for other IT functions as needed
• Perform additional duties based on workload and business needs

Requirements

• Strong aptitude for learning, documenting, and implementing business systems policies and procedures
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and reading comprehension skills
• Familiarity with relational database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Access)

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience
