Business Application Developer

About This Role

This role involves designing, implementing, and providing technical support for key business applications such as Epicor ERP, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Office, and Jira. The Developer will translate business processes into tools, workflows, and software system capabilities, supporting the nation's warfighters through quality flight training devices.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, develop, and support SQL-based applications, including Epicor ERP
• Perform coding and scripting using C#, VBScript/VBA, and SQL queries/stored procedures
• Administer SQL Server and Windows-based application servers
• Troubleshoot applications and resolve issues on Windows-based workstation computers
• Create system documentation and develop procedures and work instructions
• Manage the implementation and delivery of assigned projects, meeting established timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
• Participate in support activities relating to application support
• Manage changes in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements

• 2-4+ years of experience managing Microsoft SQL server
• 2-4+ years of coding or scripting experience in any language (C#, VBA/VBScript, or SQL preferred)
• 2-4+ years of experience with maintaining an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• U.S. Citizenship
• Ability to pass a background screening
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Qualifications

• 4-year degree with a technical major, or equivalent experience
• 2-4+ years of experience managing Microsoft SQL server, coding or scripting, and maintaining an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Epicor ERP platform (Kinetic a plus)
• Experience with Job Pack production scheduling software
• Experience with Microsoft Office macros and VBA development along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Atlassian Jira Software or a similar issue-tracking application
