Business Analyst (Systems)

About This Role

Join the Installments team within the Payments Organization at Huntington, a leading financial services organization, as a Senior Business Systems Analyst. This role involves analyzing, documenting, and validating system behaviors to support payment processing infrastructure, emphasizing value-driven delivery, quality assurance, and efficient execution to enhance system reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business issues and recommend solutions by collaborating with business users and IT teams to define requirements for application development
• Ensure business needs and IT controls are met throughout the development lifecycle
• Support product development on GCP by assisting in user story creation and team activities
• Work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to identify impacted teams and estimate effort for Epics and Features
• Develop use cases and user stories to guide application development, ensuring clarity and completeness
• Analyze opportunities for improving application reliability and performance, providing actionable recommendations
• Coordinate the decomposition of functional scope into detailed user stories, data, and system flows for medium to complex projects
• Understand business KPIs and expected outcomes to measure project success
• Perform analysis of compliance vulnerabilities and collaborate with teams to implement remediation strategies
• Maintain and update documentation to ensure future reliability and support incident remediation efforts
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and communicate status updates to stakeholders
• Support internal and external audit activities related to system compliance and security

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, product management, or software development
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• Proficiency in eliciting requirements and producing detailed requirement artifacts such as use cases, user stories, business process flows, and data flows
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Knowledge of API integrations, external file transfers, and front-end web application development
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery models and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage complex tasks in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, product management, or software development

Nice to Have

• Business Analysis (CBAP) certification
• Experience in financial services, particularly in installments or card product processing
