Perform highly skilled trades work in county-owned buildings within the Parks Department, focusing on maintenance and repair of facilities. This role involves leading work activities, designing and fabricating cabinetry, and managing related purchasing.
Responsibilities
- Perform highly skilled trades work in county owned buildings for parks facilities
- Lead and coordinate daily work activities of assigned crew or co-workers
- Organize tasks and monitor status of work in progress
- Assist with training and instructing co-workers on operational procedures and equipment use
- Design, fabricate and install cabinetry, partitions, trim, and furniture
- Utilize skilled electronic and manual machinery in fabrication process
- Purchase construction and maintenance related items
- Be accountable for delivery of related financial paperwork to administrative staff
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Vocational or technical training in building trades
- 5+ years of experience in building construction, maintenance and repair
- Valid Driver's License
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by some vocational or technical training in one or more building trades
- 5+ years of experience in building construction, maintenance, and repair
Nice to Have
- Master Electrician license
- HVAC license
