Brazer / Welder

About This Role

The Brazer is responsible for ensuring units are correctly and safely brazed and assembled according to proper manufacturing drawings and specifications. This role involves brazing similar and dissimilar metals, parts, fixtures, valves, and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Braze similar and dissimilar metals, parts, fixtures, valves, assemblies according to work traveler and work instructions.
• Set up workstation appropriately, including parts, torch tips, flux, brazing alloys, and any other needed materials.
• File steps to prep for electrical.
• Remove excess braze material on exterior of joints.
• Check brazed assemblies for any quality issues and perform rework as required.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Strong ability to follow written and prescribed work instructions/procedures and tasks.
• Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
• Strong hand and eye coordination with the ability to perform precision work using various hand tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 to 3+ years of torch brazing preferred.

Nice to Have

• 1-3+ years of torch brazing experience.
• Technical certification.
