Branch Driver

About This Role

The Branch Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck. This role ensures deliveries meet customer requirements efficiently, materials are correct and free of damage, and assists with warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report
• Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained, alerting supervisor of repair needs
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations
• Load or unload vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct and free of damage before departure
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery
• Complete all appropriate documentation at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt, packing list, and manifest
• Pick up material returns from customers, inspecting condition and verifying quantities/catalog numbers
• Pick up material from company suppliers
• Support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review
• No suspended driver's license for traffic accident/violation within past 3 years
• No at-fault accidents in past 3 years
• Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and traffic/driver laws

Qualifications

• Entry-level, company driver training provided in lieu of experience
