Bond/Surety Account Manager

About This Role

Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business within the bond/surety sector. Coordinate and execute day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, including resolving complex issues and maintaining data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions in work
• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in bonds/surety
• Direct daily activities of the account management team
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis
• Manage policy expirations and renewals, including client research and proposal negotiation
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and collect outstanding balances
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy
• Initiate and conduct client calls/meetings, handling bid bond requests, changes, cancellations, and riders
• Create and distribute client invoicing for new business, renewals, or premium-bearing transactions
• Assist with the facilitation of client claims processes as needed
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with underwriters

Requirements

• 4-5+ years of industry experience
• Required active licensing
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 4-5+ years of industry experience with bond/surety
