About This Role

Lead back-of-house operations for a restaurant, ensuring efficient food service, maintaining cleanliness, and managing kitchen staff and inventory while reporting to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food service operations and preparation
  • Establish and maintain product rotation
  • Establish and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Understand and execute Peoria Health Department's criteria for a clean and safe restaurant
  • Establish and maintain quality food service at Brienzo’s Pizza + Bar - Orange Prairie
  • Take inventory and manage all food product ordering
  • Manage and oversee food delivery check-in
  • Manage and train kitchen staff
  • Own all back-of-house cleaning procedures and policies
  • Liaise with front of house personnel and management for seamless workflow
  • Act as a team leader in the delegation of tasks to kitchen shift leads
  • Own the entire life cycle of dough management

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager or leader in a restaurant
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills
  • Ability to motivate staff to provide high-quality service
  • Excellent communication skills with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Open availability during the week and on weekends

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a kitchen manager or leader in a restaurant.

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of restaurant management software (RSTU)
