About This Role

This role supports the Human Resources team by ensuring HR compliance functions are efficient and aligned with organizational policies. It involves providing administrative support, assisting with recruitment, and advising employees on HR policies, with a focus on compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating, implementing, and evaluating human resource department policies, procedures, and structures
  • Provide compliance support for all HR functions
  • Provide administrative support for all HR functions
  • Assist with recruitment activities and events
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Complete employment verification, references, and background checks for assigned new hires
  • Maintain employee files
  • Process change of status forms and update files accordingly
  • Audit new hire files monthly for compliance
  • Prepare required compensation, disability, employment verification forms
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant
  • Ensure compliance with existing state and federal government employment laws

Requirements

  • Must speak and read Spanish fluently
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, human resources, or a similar role
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • Experience in HR policies/procedures, recruiting, employee benefits, and labor laws
  • Proficiency working with MS Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred. A high school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in payroll, accounting, human resources, or a similar role, and 2 years of project management experience. Preferred experience in a fast-paced human resources position and 1-2 years in a health care or home care environment.
