This Human Resources Manager role leads all HR operations for a mission-driven nonprofit serving Latinx communities. The position focuses on recruitment, staff development, benefits administration, and compliance, fostering a culture of belonging and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development initiatives
- Administer benefits, payroll collaboration, compensation structures, and HR policies
- Partner with leadership to foster a culture of belonging, engagement, and continuous learning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and maintain HR documentation
- Use data, feedback, and evaluation tools to assess and improve employee experience and retention
- Facilitate training, leadership development, and culture-building initiatives aligned with organizational values
Requirements
- Experience working in a non-profit/social justice environment
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, compliance, and employee relations
- Ability to build trust, manage confidential information, and lead with empathy
- Alignment with mission-driven work, cultural humility, and equity-centered values
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience across core human resources functions in a collaborative environment
