Join ABS Kids as a Behavior Technician to work with children with autism spectrum disorder and their families, teaching new skills and helping them reach new goals.
Responsibilities
- Teach kids while playing, following a treatment plan specific to each child
- Observe, play, and collect data to write progress notes
- Help kids learn essential life skills such as motor skills, social skills, and emotional skills
- Work on goals with children to shape challenging behaviors into communication skills
- Make a difference in the life of a child
Requirements
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ability to obtain after hire
- Ability to constantly get up and down off floor, move quickly
- Tech-savviness showcasing comfort with data collection software and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Desire to learn, work independently, and provide the best quality care to clients
- Interest in working with evidence-based methods based in science and proven effective
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with kids (i.e. Camp counselor, daycare, nanny, school setting, ABA, etc) preferred
Nice to Have
