About This Role

This role involves providing outpatient counseling services to clients and their families, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and NOAH policies. The counselor will perform client intakes, assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Perform client intakes and assessments
  • Conduct individual, couple, family, or group counseling
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client treatment
  • Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies to manage their presenting issue
  • Collect information about clients through interviews, clinical review, observations, and tests
  • Prepare and maintain treatment records and reports
  • Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
  • Develop, implement, and track progress through treatment plan based on clinical experience and knowledge
  • Work with the NOAH team to coordinate services
  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance, individual differences, learning, and psychological research methods
  • Knowledge of human behavior and dynamics, societal trends, ethnicity, and cultures
  • Knowledge of personalized customer service principles
  • Ability to effectively address complex issues related to individual, family, and socio-cultural variables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling (MC), or another behavior health related field
  • 1+ years in Behavioral Health Counseling or related work experience, with 3+ years preferred
