This role provides essential administrative support and customer service within Spectra Health's behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment programs. The associate ensures a welcoming environment, manages patient scheduling and registration, and maintains accurate electronic medical records to support integrated patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and customer service to promote a welcoming and safe environment
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the BH and SUD teams
- Perform patient scheduling and registration
- Ensure patient information in electronic medical records is accurate
- Conduct follow-up phone calls to patients requesting appointments
- Assist with accurate and timely completion of required documents
- Be available during group sessions to assist with patient needs
- Collaborate with behavioral health providers to coordinate patient care
- Attend integrated care team meetings
- Greet all patients, visitors, and co-workers professionally
Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Office Applications
- Experience with verbal crisis de-escalation
- Previous experience in a behavioral health and/or healthcare setting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
Nice to Have
- Associate degree or higher in psychology, human services or related field
- Strong crisis intervention skills
