Barista / Coffee Shop Attendant

About This Role

The Barista/Coffee Shop Attendant will promote and sell gift shop merchandise and serve food and beverages in the coffee shop. This role ensures an exceptional guest experience through outstanding service and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers about available food, beverage, and gift shop items in the Coffee shop
• Provide customers with information about the hotel
• Prepare specialty coffee drinks in accordance with established recipes
• Operate Coffee shop equipment according to proper procedures
• Maintain a neat and clean environment in the Coffee shop, including equipment, displays, and floors
• Straighten, refresh, and restock merchandise and food displays to maintain a fresh look
• Open and close the Coffee shop on time with proper setup and closing procedures
• Complete all sales through the Micros system and process transactions according to accounting procedures
• Manage cash handling and be responsible for a cash drawer
• Assist with managing inventory by monitoring stocks and working with management to place orders
• Account for all cash and secure money drops in accordance with hotel and company policies
• Comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to the position and its duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required
• 3-6 months related café or barista experience and/or training preferred.

Nice to Have

• Retail and/or customer service experience
• Café or barista experience (3-6 months related experience and/or training)
