Bank Manager

About This Role

Manage and lead the retail banking team, drive financial growth, and ensure superior customer service for Equity Bank in Independence, KS. This role focuses on achieving deposit and loan growth targets while managing expenses and minimizing risk.

Responsibilities

• Achieve budgeted retail banking targets for growth of deposits, consumer loans, and generation of non-interest income
• Control bank expenses as appropriate
• Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk exposure and maintain quality production
• Implement retail operating procedures and protocols
• Participate in community groups or events to promote the bank’s image
• Conduct sales management routines including daily skills coaching, weekly team meetings, and employee check-ins
• Provide on-site leadership and motivation, directing retail bank employees
• Guide employee matters including hiring, compensation, work schedule, promotion, and discipline
• Train and develop retail bank team for their current and future roles
• Ensure consistent delivery of a superior customer experience and proactively resolve client issues

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency in Windows-based systems
• Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Capable of working with a team to determine solutions
• Customer Service & Sales experience
• 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Ability to travel to Wichita, KS for week-long training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years supervisory experience, with previous customer service and sales experience

• Bachelor's degree
