Baird Capital Associate - Investment, Global Private Equity

About This Role

The Baird Capital Associate will evaluate and execute direct private investment opportunities, supporting deal screening, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management activities.

Responsibilities

• Screen new investment opportunities and assess alignment with investment criteria
• Build financial models and prepare materials for investment committee discussions
• Collaborate throughout the due diligence process, contributing analysis and insights
• Support portfolio companies by attending board meetings and tracking KPIs
• Contribute to dashboards and internal reporting for portfolio companies
• Assist with add-on M&A opportunities for portfolio companies
• Leverage internal Baird resources to enhance deal execution and portfolio support
• Engage in personal development opportunities, including potential secondments to the UK

Requirements

• Highly motivated, strong work ethic and leadership skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently and in teams
• Excellent oral and written communication with ability to present investment theses
• 2+ years in investment banking or private equity
• Strong academic background from top-tier institution; competitive test scores

Qualifications

• Strong academic background, leading G.P.A. from top-tier institution
