About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the parts sales process from start to finish, including obtaining and stocking parts for service technicians, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth shop operations for a Ford Dealership.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully deliver on goals while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction
  • Maintain up-to-date product and technical knowledge to effectively communicate with technicians and service staff
  • Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish
  • Apply ethical selling techniques and comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Communicate with technicians on parts status
  • Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Read and understand parts catalogs when looking up parts
  • Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
  • Review body shop estimates to ensure parts ordered are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate
  • Provide high level service to internal and external customers
  • Pull, fill orders from stock and properly price all parts
  • Maintain weekly bin checks to ensure accuracy of stock
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention
  • Exchange returned parts to determine if parts are defective; exchange or process refund per company policy
  • Ensure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up
  • Support company efforts to train and cross-train employees

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience with a Ford Dealership
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and parts electronic catalogs
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid CA drivers license
  • Good communication skills

Qualifications
