Automotive Quick Lube Technician

About This Role

This role involves performing routine vehicle inspections, tests, and maintenance tasks according to manufacturer specifications in a dealership service department. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining shop appearance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service inspections and tests and complete standard maintenance requirements per manufacturer specifications
• Check all fluids and maintenance-related items and top off fluids as needed
• Ensure that the required documentation is completed and is compliant with regulations and standards
• Follow all shop policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules
• Help maintain shop appearance and safety standards and ensure the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions
• Attend all staff meetings, training, and educational classes as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles
• Positive attitude
• Professional appearance
• Great communication skills
• Safety and computer service oriented
• Basic computer and internet skills

Qualifications

• Some automotive training and/or experience with automotive repair is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of automotive servicing or repair
