Automotive Lot Attendant

About This Role

This role involves managing the new and used car inventory on the dealership lot, ensuring vehicles are properly received, inspected, organized, and prepared for delivery. It requires attention to detail and customer service in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify receipt of new cars delivered to the dealer and park them in an orderly manner
• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices
• Inspect cars for damage and verify the presence of accessories
• Record damages and list missing items on delivery receipts
• Park new cars in assigned areas according to model
• Assign stock control numbers to cars and catalog/store keys
• Park cars in different locations after sales to maximize space and maintain lot order
• Deliver sold cars to the new car preparation department
• Service cars in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish
• Wash and detail vehicles as needed
• Move cars on the lot and deliver them to customer houses
• Assist dealership managers with various requests

Requirements

• Clean and valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to safely operate motor vehicles
• Good communication skills
• Customer focused personality
