Automotive Express Technician

About This Role

Perform express maintenance and repairs on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership, state, and factory standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on each repair order efficiently and according to dealership, state, and factory standards
• Address customer's primary concern with diagnosis, repair, and quality control to meet Fixed First Visit expectations
• Perform Electronic Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle
• Notify Service Advisor of any changes in diagnostic findings or time estimates
• Master the Dealer Management System (Dealertrack) for time keeping, work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, and communication
• Maintain a clean workspace and account for all dealership-owned tools
• Complete assigned factory-sponsored training classes
• Stay informed about all factory technical bulletins
• Ensure customer's car is clean after service
• Understand federal, state, and local regulations
• Drain engine oil and refill with suggested viscosity and quantity
• Replace oil and air filters when needed
• Rotate tires and inspect brake pads
• Check and adjust tire air pressure
• Complete multi-point inspections on every vehicle
• Inspect and refill fluid levels of key components
• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
• Have and maintain an excellent driving record
• Pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Currently attending or a recent graduate of a recognized Automotive / Technical School, prior automotive technician work experience and/or factory trained is preferred
