Auto General Service Technician

About This Role

Perform basic automotive services such as tire mounting, oil changes, and vehicle inspections while providing excellent customer experience. Maintain a clean and safe work area in the tire and service department.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to diagnose and repair basic automotive issues including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, and electrical systems
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions
• Change engine oil and filter
• Install and perform tire maintenance
• Install batteries and check starting/charging systems
• Install headlights and other small bulbs
• Repair flat tires
• Install wiper blades
• Stock and unload tires
• Assist fellow technicians/mechanics with technical activities
• Keep store management informed of mechanical repair problems
• Clean and maintain an organized and neat shop
• Adhere to company policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules

Requirements

• A valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check
