Audio/Visual Producer & Content Creator

About This Role

This role is responsible for producing compelling audio and visual narratives for TV, radio, and digital platforms. The content creator will capture stories from the community and optimize them for various media, including social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Create and produce news and longform content, including field producing, interviewing, and studio shoots
• Capture PBS-quality video and NPR-standard audio in the field and in-studio
• Edit content using Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Premiere Pro, Audition) for TV broadcast, radio, and digital platforms
• Adapt long-form content for YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook to expand digital footprint
• Collaborate with news and programming teams to ensure visual and auditory consistency across WNIN brands
• Draft engaging scripts for various formats, from 30-second social promos to long-form documentary features

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
• Proficiency in Adobe Audition
• Portfolio demonstrating ability to frame a shot, light a scene, and capture clean audio
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects
• Passion for public media and storytelling relevant to the community

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Adobe After Effects
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop
