Attractions Industry Business & Systems Consultant

About This Role

This role supports visitor attractions, theme parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, and leisure operators in improving the effectiveness of their technology, data, and operational systems. The consultant will leverage a deep understanding of core attraction systems to assess current capabilities, identify improvement opportunities, and support the design and implementation of better-integrated, data-driven operating models. The ideal candidate will translate business needs into practical technology and data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assess current technology and data landscapes across ticketing, F&B, retail, and operations
• Evaluate system effectiveness, data quality, and integration maturity
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop technology and data roadmaps aligned to business objectives
• Advise on best-practice architecture for attractions technology ecosystems
• Support clients in improving system integration and data flow between platforms
• Define integration requirements with vendors and internal IT teams
• Help design target operating models that improve efficiency and insight
• Advise on data strategy for attractions, including governance, reporting, and performance metrics
• Support clients in defining KPIs and data structures that enable better decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience working with visitor attractions, theme parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, or leisure venues
• Strong understanding of ticketing, F&B, retail, and operations systems used in attractions
• Experience working with data and reporting in an attractions or hospitality context
• Ability to translate business needs into technology and data requirements
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with visitor attractions, theme parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, or leisure venues

Nice to Have

• Experience with Gateway Ticketing, Siriusware, Accesso, Alvarado ticketing/booking systems
• Experience with POS systems for F&B and retail
• Experience with CRM or marketing platforms used in attractions
• Experience with Business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker
• Experience with system integration projects
• Knowledge of data warehousing or lake concepts
• Experience in consulting or advisory roles
