This scientist will support Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) development and genomics research in a collaborative R&D environment. This role combines biology and technology to contribute to drug target and biomarker discovery.
Responsibilities
- Extract and prepare DNA/RNA from diverse sample types
- Prepare DNA, RNA, and ATAC-seq libraries (bulk and/or single-cell)
- Perform QC on samples and libraries, including qPCR
- Operate Illumina and other NGS platforms
- Troubleshoot library prep and sequencing workflows under supervision
- Maintain accurate records in ELN/LIMS
- Present results in team and cross-functional meetings
Requirements
- Experience with DNA/RNA extraction and library preparation
Qualifications
- Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years experience, Associate degree with 4+ years experience, or High school diploma with 5+ years experience
- 2+ years of hands-on NGS experience (with Bachelor's degree) or 5+ years with a high school diploma
Nice to Have
- Degree in biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, bioengineering, or related field
- 2+ years hands-on NGS experience
- Familiarity with ELN/LIMS (e.g., Benchling)
