Join Monomoy Advisors as an Associate Director of FP&A to assist with financial analysis, preparation, and presentation of key business drivers for Decision Support clients. This role involves frequent interaction with senior leaders and a focus on biotech, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices industries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans
- Develop and maintain financial models for various business units and projects
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis
- Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed to support decision-making
- Build and own valuation models to support acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises, and strategic initiatives
- Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, mergers, and acquisitions
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Provide insights and recommendations to Sr. leadership on key business drivers / financial performance
- Stay current on industry best practices & trends in FP&A; drive continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
- 8+ years in a FP&A role
- Strong experience and knowledge of long-range planning, budgeting and valuation
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with strong business acumen
- Advanced Excel modeling skills
- Solid understanding of the biotech industry and the R&D process
Qualifications
- BA/BS in Business, preferably in Finance and /or Accounting MBA or CPA preferred
- 8+ years in a FP&A role
Nice to Have
- MBA or CPA
- Familiarity with Power Query and PowerPivot
- Experience with a range of ERP systems (Great Plains, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
- Prior experience in a startup, fast growth company with understanding of how to scale business systems
