Associate Counsel Attorney

About This Role

This role is for an in-house attorney specializing in licensing and technology, responsible for drafting and negotiating various technology-related agreements. The attorney will manage risk, support internal teams, and advise on complex legal issues for a top professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate license agreements, cyber and technology agreements (including software, SaaS, subscription, data privacy, and security agreements)
• Review and negotiate client and vendor agreements to identify risk considerations and exposures
• Interface with and support Partners and employees, as well as clients, vendors, and third parties
• Balance legal considerations with practical business needs and exhibit critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
• Assist with confidentiality, data privacy, and security issues, including responding to vendor questionnaires and reviewing/negotiating data access/sharing and data protection agreements

Requirements

• 5-12 years of relevant experience
• Juris doctor degree with active license to practice
• Ability to navigate and advise on complex legal issues
• Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Juris doctor degree with active license to practice
• 5-12 years of relevant experience, preferably with prior in-house accounting/consulting firm experience
