Associate Attorneys (Labor, Employment, General, School, Municipal and Litigation)

About This Role

Keane & Beane, P.C. is seeking motivated associate attorneys to focus on general litigation, labor/employment law, municipal law, and/or school law, serving clients in New York. The role requires strong legal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of general litigation from discovery through appeals
• Handle arbitrations, collective bargaining negotiations, and advise on labor/employment statutes and related litigation
• Represent school districts and educational entities in daily advice, student discipline, special education matters, contracts, and bidding
• Provide day-to-day municipal representation, municipal governance and administration, drafting local laws and resolutions
• Represent land use boards during evening hours (Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals)
• Defend Article 78 proceedings and advise clients on SEQRA compliance

Requirements

• Admission to the New York bar at the time of hire
• Strong writing, advocacy, research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently while being detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a law firm setting
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Several years' experience practicing law
