Associate Application Developer – Salesforce

About This Role

Join IBM Consulting's Associate Program as an Application Developer focusing on Salesforce. You will help clients solve challenging business problems, integrate packaged technology, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Learn and adopt consulting skills and business knowledge to effectively integrate packaged technology into client's business environment
• Translate client's business needs into business requirements and participate in the production of solutions to drive business value
• Work with clients to refine or design their business strategy while working in an agile collaborative environment

Requirements

• Demonstrated programming proficiency and experience with one of the following: Java, C++, Python, Scala, R, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, HTML, SPSS, VBA, Tableau, Spark, Angular, ReactJS
• Exposure to web services, API and Java application frameworks such as Springboot
• Hands-on experience working in collaborative development environments, including use of Git-based source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and basic code review practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solution
• Practical understanding of API-first development, including consuming REST APIs, authentication patterns, and integrating across systems
• Exposure to web application development concepts and frameworks, including front-end and/or back-end development
• Familiarity with cloud-native development concepts, such as environments (dev/test/prod), deployment pipelines, and running applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or GCP)
• Foundational understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts
• Familiarity with generative AI Modeling, ethics and methodologies
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture, infrastructure concepts and cloud platforms AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, and Google Cloud
• Ability to work across the software development lifecycle, contributing to code quality, testing, and maintainability
• Willingness to travel up to 100%, based on project requirements
