Assisted Living Nurse (RN/LPN)

About This Role

Provide direct nursing care and supervision to assigned staff and residents in an Assisted Living facility. Ensure residents' health care goals and daily living activities are met while promoting an independent lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned staff
• Directly provide nursing care to residents as assigned
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, family/social activities
• Actively promote independent lifestyle of residents
• Initiate individual plan of care based on health care goals, physician’s orders and nursing assessments
• Assist residents in and out of bed or wheelchair with proper transfer equipment
• Record vital signs, nourishment logs, and other patient records as necessary
• Assure that the unit and resident room areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner
• Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards
• Respond to all call lights promptly
• Maintain continuous communication with physician and D.O.N.

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license
• CPR certification
• Geriatric rehabilitation experience with a strong understanding of restorative nursing
• In-depth knowledge of best nursing practices, along with state and federal regulations
