About This Role

This role is for an experienced Fund Administration professional to join a fast-growing team in the alternative investment industry. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in fund administration tasks, specifically working with closed-end and registered funds, to expand alternative investment offerings for the RIA industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the third-party administrator’s preparation of ongoing regulatory filings
  • Participate in quarterly board meetings and serve in an officer position for the Trust
  • Compile and distribute board of trustee meeting materials
  • Oversee the third-party administrator’s preparation of fund financial statements for limited partners and the SEC to comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate the annual audit with a third-party audit firm
  • Oversee the third-party administrator’s portfolio compliance with the SEC and IRC
  • Develop and monitor fund administration servicing procedures for closed-end and registered funds
  • Oversee and coordinate periodic tender offers, including notices, tabulation, and communications
  • Monitor a fund budget based on contractual agreements and expense activity trends
  • Manage fund invoice approval and bill payment processes
  • Place Fidelity Bond and E&O/D&O Insurance
  • Maintain a servicing calendar for the Trust, including board meeting dates, contract renewals, resolution approvals, tax and regulatory filings, and tender offer schedules
  • Liaise with external legal counsel to problem-solve fund-related matters
  • Assist in the coordination of the formation of offering documents and corporate formation of funds and general partners
  • Manage and facilitate communication of the fund development fund launch pipeline

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Fund Administration, Fund Development, Investment Management, or a related financial services role
  • Direct experience with closed end funds and registered funds
  • Experience leading complex, multi-team projects and managing cross-functional priorities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Investment Management Operations, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Fund Administration, Fund Development, Investment Management, or a related financial services role.
