Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About This Role

As an Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) at 7-Eleven, you will support the Store Leader in managing store operations, providing leadership to employees, and ensuring excellent customer service in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
• Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
• Perform cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures
• Ensure the store is presentable and all products are in-stock

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience
• Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and loyalty program promotion
• Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel)
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment
• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• At least one year of Retail Management experience or previous supervisory experience
