Assistant Store Leader

About This Role

Join the management team as an Assistant Store Leader Trainee, focusing on providing excellent customer service, developing staff, and assisting with store operations for a retail convenience store.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
• Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
• Handle cash transactions and fuel transactions
• Promote the loyalty program
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures
• Ensure the store is presentable and all products are in-stock
• Perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience
• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership and training
• Strength in maintaining high retention and developing employees
• Ability to assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs
• Competency in cash handling and fuel transactions
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required with 1 year of Retail Management experience
• At least one year of Retail Management experience
