Assistant Store Leader

About This Role

Serve as an Assistant Store Leader, providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to store employees. Assist in implementing merchandising and marketing programs while ensuring a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity
• Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs
• Handle cash transactions and fuel transactions
• Promote the loyalty program to customers
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures
• Ensure the store is presentable and all products are in-stock

Requirements

• Previous supervisory experience or leadership experience
• Demonstrated strength maintaining high retention
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and loyalty program promotion
• Demonstrated ability maintaining a clean, safe environment
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred Word, Excel)
• Ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates that have at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• At least one year of Retail Management experience, or previous supervisory experience, or leadership experience
