About This Role

Assist the site director in the daily operation of the UT Child Development Center by maintaining records, supervising staff and classrooms, communicating with parents, and ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all enrollment and staff records including immunizations
  • Supervise classrooms and staff at the program
  • Give tours and communicate daily with parents and visitors
  • Assist with maintaining requirements of Child Care Licensing and Accreditation standards as well as requirements for health and safety
  • Assist with staffing the program and hiring new employees

Requirements

  • Demonstrated competencies: Motivating others, Planning work for others, Managing conflict, Managing and measuring work, and Complying with policies and procedures
  • University's Transition to Management Certificate (or equivalent)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1 year of experience as a teacher or administrator of a licensed child care facility

Nice to Have

  • Degree in child related field
  • Previous experience working as a director or assistant director of a licensed child development center
  • Previous experience working in an accredited child development center
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Stable work history
