Assistant Resident Care Director

About This Role

The Assistant Resident Care Director assists in overseeing resident care services and ensuring compliance with health and regulatory standards. This role involves direct nursing care, medication administration, supervision of nursing assistants, and maintaining a caring and compassionate environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medication and treatments per physician’s order
• Accurately record all care provided to residents
• Provide direct nursing care and clinical supervision of nursing assistants
• Report care provided and changes in resident's condition to the Resident Care Director immediately
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics or lifting devices
• Respond to inquiries from residents, visitors, and personnel promptly and courteously
• Contribute to the individualized care plan process by providing observations of residents’ needs and preferences
• Communicate and interact effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors
• Report incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violation of residents’ rights
• Perform various tasks assigned by the charge nurse, including checking vital signs and collecting specimens

Requirements

• Valid LPN or RN license in good standing
• A minimum of one (1) year of full-time or equivalent clinical experience
• High school diploma or a GED
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Valid Driver's License
• Annual verification of a negative TB skin test

Qualifications

• High school diploma or a GED and a valid LPN or RN license
• A minimum of one (1) year of full-time or equivalent clinical experience is required
