Assistant Quality Manager- Quality Assurance

About This Role

Lead the Quality Assurance organization for ACI to ensure all processes comply with civil aviation regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements, focusing on safety and cost-effectiveness in daily flights.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to a Quality Management System (QMS) as Management Representative, conforming to regulatory, industry, and customer requirements.
• Maintain Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certificates and privileges, manage AS9110 certificate, KPIs, and procedures, and ensure adherence to aerospace standards.
• Lead internal, layered, and external quality audits (regulatory, supplier, customer, registrars).
• Partner with Engineering and Operations Departments to design, implement, and document procedures for process control and improvement.
• Serve as primary quality assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, countermeasures, and continuous improvement.
• Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma) to enhance product performance through the quality system.
• Manage employees in the Quality Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Manage calibration and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) programs.
• Manage the quality department’s Time In Location (TIL) metrics daily and monitor metrics/statistics for ACI operations and inspection teams.
• Manage the repair station’s training program and company’s calibration program.
• Work closely with the Quality Control Manager/Chief Inspector to improve external quality and resolve customer escalations.

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Experience with internal and external quality audits
