The Assistant Manager, Beverage oversees beverage service operations at Yaamava Resort & Casino, focusing on exceptional customer experience, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety and sanitation policies. This role involves leading training programs and collaborating with various departments to achieve enterprise goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the Beverage department, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient beverage service, and operational excellence.
- Manage day-to-day operations in alignment with departmental and enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and service quality standards.
- Ensure safety and security of all team members in beverage areas by verifying adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation standards across all beverage venues in compliance with Enterprise policies and Health Department regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for efficient beverage operations, ensuring team members have necessary knowledge and skills.
- Utilize data for effective inventory control, including monitoring usage patterns, ordering, and assessing necessary materials and equipment.
- Identify, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to enhance organizational efficiency, guest service, productivity, safety, and cost savings.
- Ensure all beverage products are served promptly and in full compliance with established service standards, Health Department regulations, and proper pour testing.
- Execute thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for alcohol and cigarette sales, and San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission and California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control standards.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding, disciplining employees, and resolving complaints.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field
- 3+ years of food and beverage service in a high-volume environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Clear and effective communication skills in English
- Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Food Handler’s Card
- ServSafe certification
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field.
- Minimum three (3) years of food and beverage service in a high-volume bar, restaurant and/or gaming environment.
Nice to Have
- Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
