Assist in the daily operations of a group home, apartment, or supported living location for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met, and helping to foster independence and freedom of choice.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and follow-up for medical appointments for individuals
- Monitor the finances of individuals
- Aid in administering medication with proper certification
- Ensure individual plans are adhered to as indicated
- Assist residents with grooming, hygiene, and personal care when needed
- Work with the house manager to ensure adequate staffing levels
- Help find coverage when needed for staffing
- Learn all aspects of successfully running a group home
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Two-years of experience working in a group home/residential or similar setting
- Compassion and ability to see the potential in everyone
- Positivity and a team-player attitude
