Assistant Director of Food & Beverage

About This Role

The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is a forward-facing leadership role, critical for ensuring consistent positive experiences for club members and resort guests through personal engagement and creative product and service delivery. This position leads the F&B department in operational excellence, cost control, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct all operations in the food and beverage department, including culinary quality, creativity, and service delivery in various outlets.
• Establish plans to ensure the long-range growth and profitability of the F&B Department.
• Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation, and cleanliness in all F&B areas.
• Review financial transactions and monitor the budget to ensure efficient operation.
• Develop new service techniques and special events to maximize patronage and service excellence.
• Monitor and address guest reviews and surveys, resolving all food quality and service issues.
• Set departmental expectations for food and beverage preparation, quality, and creativity.
• Lead the development, training, and coaching of F&B employees.
• Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in a leadership role within a Forbes Rated or 4/5 Diamond property.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

• College education or equivalent, with a hotel or business administration degree preferred.
• 3 years experience in a leadership role with a Forbes Rated or 4/5 Diamond property. Experience with country clubs is a plus.
