Assistant Colorist, Licensed Cosmetologist

About This Role

Support Licensed Colorists and the Shift Lead to ensure a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. This role involves learning services, assisting with hair coloring, and working towards promotion to a Licensed Colorist.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with company values
• Perform behind-the-chair services such as shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatments, and toner services
• Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and key performance indicators including retail sales and memberships
• Ensure Hair Color Bar meets company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security
• Adhere to protocols regarding Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures
• Drive Hair Color Bar revenue through increasing average service ticket and sales of memberships, subscriptions, and home hair care
• Proactively learn and complete Assistant Colorist to Colorist Training, mastering color theory and application skills

Requirements

• Active cosmetology license in the state in which you are applying
• Entry level experience in any customer service or retail sales environment
• Effective communication, strong problem solving and people skills
• Comfortable operating point of sale systems
• Fluency in English

Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales environment; salon or beauty industry experience preferred
