Assistant Client Manager - Group Benefits

About This Role

This role supports the Group Health Benefits Insurance team by assisting with client service, research, open enrollment preparation, and administrative tasks related to benefits plans. It offers an opportunity to learn and grow in the employee benefits field from experienced consultants.

Responsibilities

• Assist with renewal preparation and client servicing
• Support team members during client meetings and open enrollment sessions
• Assist in gathering quotes, preparing proposal comparisons, and organizing benefit options for presentation
• Research and analyze employee benefits plans
• Help coordinate underwriting processes and documentation
• Maintain and update client records and plan documentation
• Support the planning and coordination of Health Fairs and other client events
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams
• Communicate benefit options and processes clearly and professionally to clients
• Help maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit products including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, Disability, and voluntary products

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years employee benefits brokerage, insurance company experience or benefits related human resources experience
• Willingness to obtain Active Life and Health Insurance license within 90 days of hire if not already held

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree is a plus
• Minimum of 1-3 years employee benefits brokerage, insurance company experience or benefits related human resources experience

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with group health plans
• Experience with Employee Navigator or other enrollment platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
