Assistant Area Manager

About This Role

This role involves assisting in surveying roof areas and generating specification and project opportunities within a given geographical area. The Assistant Area Manager will support Senior Area Managers in achieving sales targets and developing strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surveying roof areas and generating specification and project opportunities
• Support Senior Area Manager and Area Managers in achieving annual sales targets
• Develop and maintain positive day-to-day relationships with existing and new clients
• Work closely with line manager and technical department on surveying projects and report writing
• Plan and manage time efficiently to maximize productivity and provide regular feedback
• Identify new clients and develop strategies to maximize opportunities, including CPD seminars
• Maintain proactive communication with the existing contractor network through regular meetings
• Track all projects throughout the design and procurement stage to maximize conversion ratio
• Act as Project Manager, taking responsibility for projects from conception to completion
• Manage and update client and contractor records on the company database

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• Access to a vehicle
• Ability to work at height and carry out full roof surveys including core sampling
• Able to use a PC including Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining customer and contractor relationships, working in the flat roofing industry, managing time and prioritizing tasks, delivering presentations, working towards targets, conducting lone working, and cold calling are desirable.
