Assembly Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and lead the manufacturing production team to safely produce company products, ensuring all safety, quality, and productivity requirements are met in a cost-effective manner. This role involves leadership, technical direction, and continuous improvement initiatives within an assembly department.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost goals
• Develop daily and weekly production plans, calculating productivity and cost metrics
• Provide daily reporting of key metrics and ensure adherence to daily targets
• Offer leadership and technical direction to improve departmental metrics
• Foster a positive working environment committed to excellence
• Lead in establishing standard processes and tools
• Manage personnel performance, including reviews, disciplinary actions, and training
• Ensure the application of lean manufacturing tools in process development
• Lead continuous improvement efforts throughout the department
• Regularly communicate departmental updates to Managers
• Ensure departmental health and safety compliance, accident, and injury prevention

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Leadership position
• Manufacturing experience in an assembly department
• Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Proficient experience with Lean Manufacturing work area practices (5-S, Visual Controls, Standard Work, work center metrics, continuous improvement)
• Strong leadership skills at all levels
• Ability to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with others
• Basic English language skills and ability to read, follow, and interpret work instructions
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean/orderly work area
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Leadership position
