Asphalt Loader Operator

About This Role

Operate heavy equipment such as large scale loaders, skid steers, man lifts, and dump trucks to manufacture high-quality Hot Mix Asphalt. This role also involves equipment maintenance, directing inbound trucks, and maintaining yard housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate large scale loaders, skid steers, and dump trucks daily as directed by Plant Operator
• Perform pre-production equipment review and preventive maintenance, verifying equipment readiness
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory, especially critical spares
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance activities as directed by the Plant Operator
• Communicate with all plant personnel to work as a team
• Assist in the repair process during plant downtime as directed by the Plant Operator
• Minimize waste
• Maintain all environmental requirements for the plant grounds
• Meet all safety requirements, including toolbox talks, man lift inspections, incident reporting, Lockout/Tag out, Confined Space entry, and PPE
• Maintain plant and yard housekeeping

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 2-5 years of aggregate material handling experience or related field

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2-5 years of aggregate material handling experience, or in a related field

Nice to Have

• Experience in asphalt or aggregate plants
• Proficient use of computer software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
