Area Manager, Water Treatment

About This Role

Lead industrial and institutional water treatment operations across the Midwest, ensuring high-quality solutions, driving growth, and managing a team. This role combines technical expertise with leadership and commercial acumen to deliver asset protection, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Account Managers and technical service representatives, ensuring consistent delivery of service excellence.
• Analyze water chemistry data and convert findings into actionable strategies that meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Identify new opportunities, accelerate sales initiatives, and expand wallet share within existing accounts.
• Promote and enforce a safety-first culture across all operations and communications.
• Conduct site surveys, assist with technical reviews, and contribute to proposal development for tailored solutions.
• Set KPIs, troubleshoot system issues, and optimize water treatment programs for maximum efficiency.
• Work closely with engineering, programming, and sales teams to customize applications and enhance customer experience.
• Carry out annual business reviews for major accounts and identify opportunities for growth and added value.

Requirements

• Significant experience in industrial water treatment, including program design and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and building long-term client relationships.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
• Significant experience in industrial water treatment, including program design and technical troubleshooting.
