Area Maintenance Technician

About This Role

The Area Maintenance Technician is a lead role responsible for guiding and coordinating maintenance activities to improve equipment uptime and production reliability on their designated shift for a growing manufacturer of quality Aerospace and Industrial components. This role partners closely with Manufacturing and Engineering and mentors shift maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, prioritize, and track work orders for production equipment.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Engineering to define scopes of work and action plans for equipment repair and improvements; attend and contribute in cross-functional meetings.
• Inspect machines and equipment to verify operational performance and optimize utilization.
• Use basic hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment deficiencies.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians on maintenance best practices and safe work methods.
• Develop and standardize processes and procedures to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
• Lead work efforts for assigned project tasks; drive completion to plan.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization; able to work in teams and independently.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in a maintenance role.
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in a maintenance role, with at least 2 years in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics.
• Certification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-craft apprenticeship.
