Animal Care Technician I

This entry-level role provides essential care and support for research animals, ensuring their welfare and contributing to life sciences at Labcorp. The position offers hands-on training and a clear career advancement path.

Responsibilities

• Feed and care for all species within the animal facility
• Change soiled cages and bedding
• Clean and sanitize animal pens and rooms
• Operate cage washers and tunnel washers
• Maintain sanitation records
• Remove waste and bedding from animal pans
• Document all cleaning and sanitation practices accurately
• Observe animals daily for health and report any concerns
• Assist with record keeping, inventory, and laundry tasks

Requirements

• Must be 18+ and able to read/write English
• Overtime and weekend work required

Qualifications

• No experience needed, hands-on training provided; 6-12 months animal care or related experience preferred

Nice to Have

• High school diploma
• 6–12 months animal care or related experience
